- Products that misrepresent where an animal was born, raised, harvested, processed, or packaged
- Products whose origin differs materially from the information provided on the listing
- Products purchased from undisclosed suppliers for resale as Rancher-produced products
All origin claims must be accurate, transparent, and supported by appropriate records.
2. Uninspected or unlicensed products
Products may not be listed if they were produced, slaughtered, processed, stored, packaged, or prepared through a facility that lacks legally required licenses or permits, government inspections, registrations, food-safety plans, processing authorizations, or regulatory approvals. Custom-exempt products or products labeled "not for sale" may not be offered for human consumption through the marketplace.
3. Unsafe, adulterated, or recalled products
- Contaminated, adulterated, spoiled, or otherwise unsafe
- Subject to an active recall or mandatory withdrawal
- Improperly stored or temperature-controlled
- Packaged in a damaged, leaking, opened, or compromised container
- Past an applicable expiration or use-by date
- Known or reasonably suspected to present a food-safety risk
- Prohibited from sale by a regulatory authority
A Rancher must immediately notify Farm To You if a listed or sold product becomes subject to a recall, contamination concern, inspection failure, or other safety incident.
4. Unlawfully sold wild game
Wild game, exotic meat, or harvested wildlife may not be offered unless its commercial sale is expressly lawful and the Rancher has received prior written approval from Farm To You. Products derived from protected, threatened, endangered, unlawfully harvested, or otherwise restricted species are prohibited.
5. False or misleading products and claims
Ranchers may not list products containing false, deceptive, misleading, or unsubstantiated statements regarding product origin, breed or species, feeding or raising practices, ingredients or allergens, weight, quantity, or contents, processing or inspection status, organic or other certifications, environmental or animal-welfare practices, or health, disease-treatment, or medical benefits. Claims such as "grass-fed," "grass-finished," "pasture-raised," "organic," "regeneratively raised," or similar representations must be legally compliant and supported by appropriate documentation.
6. Restricted product categories
- Alcoholic beverages
- Tobacco or nicotine products
- Cannabis, hemp-derived intoxicants, or controlled substances
- Dietary supplements, vitamins, or medicinal products
- Prescription or over-the-counter drugs

- Products outside Farm To You's approved meat, poultry, seafood, and related food categories
Farm To You may approve limited food-related merchandise, gift packaging, seasoning, sauces, or complementary products under separate written standards.
7. Improperly labeled products
Products may not be listed if their packaging or labeling omits legally required information, contains inaccurate inspection marks or certifications, fails to disclose required ingredients or allergens, uses another producer's identity without authorization, misstates net weight or quantity, or is otherwise false, misleading, or legally noncompliant.
8. Unauthorized resale and counterfeit products
- Counterfeit or fraudulently labeled products
- Products stolen or obtained through unlawful means
- Products repackaged without required licensing or disclosures
- Products produced by an undisclosed third party
- Products the Rancher is not legally authorized to sell
Approved third-party processing does not constitute prohibited resale when it is accurately disclosed and complies with Farm To You's standards.
9. Farm To You's discretion
Farm To You may reject or remove any product it reasonably determines violates applicable law or marketplace policy, creates a food-safety, customer, or reputational risk, is inconsistent with the marketplace's purpose, lacks sufficient supporting documentation, falls outside approved product categories, or is misleading, offensive, or inappropriate for the platform. Approval of a Rancher does not guarantee approval of every product.
10. Enforcement
Farm To You may remove a prohibited product without prior notice and may also pause or cancel affected orders, notify impacted customers, issue refunds or credits, delay or withhold related payouts, require corrective action, suspend or terminate the Rancher's account, and report suspected unlawful activity when required or appropriate. The Rancher remains responsible for all costs, claims, refunds, recalls, penalties, and other consequences arising from products listed in violation of this policy.
